Had a look on that Komedia theatre’s website and there seemed to be a couple of cool looking things - Born Bad (which someone else had recommended!) and a bizarre sounding BeetleJuice themed night!

Anyone else know anything about/going to these, or can recommend other club events in town?

So a nice simple question with a plethora of possible answers from you fellow Brightonians!

Why not help a young girl looking for an enjoyable time out and about in Brighton with your gem of info or a promo for your own place to come and visit? Chuck your ideas in the comments below. If you are a designer, or at least like to dabble with design then perhaps you fancy having a go a putting together the 2009 BrightonVibes logo? Aside from fame (but no fortune) you will get plugs / exposure and the joy of having another item of work displayed for the masses of Brightonia to see.

When we have enough entries we will look to put them up for a public vote to decide the winner! Who knows, we may even throw in some prize such as money, vouchers or free beer!

Many will know that this has been many months coming. Just ‘what’ brighton vibes was going to be was in question until around a month ago when it was finally decided that it would not try to be another listings site or only cover what’s on. At least, that wont be the primary aim.

We decided to focus on the key concept of ‘vibes’. What is actually happening in Brighton that Brightonians are actually talking about, interested in, involved in producing, have achieved and so on.

A big driver of this will be monitoring the social sites such as Twitter and Facebook to get right down and dirty with all of you Brighton dwellers and bring the best of the gossip, news, events and talk of Brighton! The live streams will be up on the site shortly (if not already by the time you read this) and we will look to both aggregate and report on the happenings.

Yes the place does have a few empty spaces at the moment for sure, but BV will be a continuously expanding project that revolves around Brighton (and maybe Hove actually ;) ) and will have a big lean on all of you. As part of this we will be looking to publish guest articles, promote DJ’s, artists, photographers and so on… eventually taking on some full time contributors to ensure we keep all the Brighton Vibes getting through!
